We are ideally located for Prestwick Airport, Ayr Racecourse, Northfield Bowling Centre and the many world class golf courses in the area. Newton on Ayr Train station is just around the corner providing a direct rail link between Ayr, Prestwick and Glasgow, there is also a direct bus link with the bus stop situated directly outside the hotel. It's a place that attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists each Spring and Summer, swelling the weekly population by 150%. They come for the world class golfing at Royal Troon and Turnberry, for salmon and trout fishing, sailing, grouse shooting, horse racing not to mention to explore historic sites from the impressive Culzean Castle to numerous other castles and the birthplace of Robert Burns, and for the stunning sea views. The hotel itself was built in the early 1900's with its turret and crest resembles a small castle. In the early years it was a doctor's surgery before becoming a hotel in the 1930's. M77 - Road: follow signs for prestwick airport carry on through prestwick continue along A79 towards ayr you will pass arnold clark car showrooms continue past a shell petrol station on the left hand side we are approx 300 yards further on ,on the right hand sidenewton on ayr station - Train: coming out of the station keep left till you get to the main road,turn left past the church and we are the 3rd building on the left.
